All-new instrument panel
The cabin of the Mazda6 features a premium instrument panel and centre console design, complete with a freestanding 7-inch colour touch-screen display mounted on top of the lower dashboard. This is accessed using the Multimedia Commander with separate volume dial for safe, intuitive interactivity and infotainment control. Along with the greater use of soft-touch materials and meticulous attention to shut lines, the driver-centric cabin majors on tactile quality and intuitive layout.
Generous accomodation
The Mazda6 Tourer features a vast load bay that expands from 522-litres with the rear seats in place to a cavernous 1,664-litres with the split rear seats folded flat. The Tourer’s Karakuri 60:40 split rear seats fold into a flexible flat cargo area, a simple procedure using either the levers located on each side of the boot or the standard release buttons on the seatbacks themselves.
Standard equipment
Drivers have the choice of three specification grades - SE Nav, SE-L Nav and Sport Nav – and the generous level of standard specification includes 17-inch alloy wheels, multi-function leather steering wheel, electronic parking brake, 7-inch colour touch-screen, Multimedia Commander with separate volume dial, four-speaker DAB radio and CD audio system, integrated Bluetooth® with internet app integration, i-stop idle stop/start, air-conditioning, cruise control with adjustable speed limiter, six airbags and Hill Hold Assist.
Safety first
Standard safety features include six airbags, anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Brake Assist, Hill Hold Assist, Dynamic Stability Control, Emergency Stop Signalling, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and ISOFIX child seat anchors on the two outer rear seats.
i-ACTIVSENSE technologies
The Mazda6 is equipped with an extensive range of advanced driver-supporting ‘i-ACTIVSENSE’ technologies as part of the optional safety pack on Sport Nav models. The Smart City Brake Support features Rear Smart City Brake Support; intelligent Lane-keep Assist System; fatigue-detecting Driver Attention Alert; and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
Head-up display
On Sport Nav models the Mazda6’s instrumentation is complemented by Mazda’s full colour Active Driving Display with Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) head-up display that projects key information such as vehicle speed, turn-by-turn navigation instructions and information from the advanced safety systems.
New connectivity
The Mazda6 takes infotainment to new levels – its integrated 7-inch, full-colour, centre console touch-screen incorporates DAB radio –, and MZD-Connect. MZD-Connect pairs with a smartphone to deliver online internet and social media connectivity*.
