The Mazda6 range features an extensive range of 10 Saloon and 8 Tourer models, priced from £21,095 to £29,795 on-the-road (OTR). Both Saloon and Tourer variants are available with the choice of 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol or 2.2-litre SKYACTIV-D diesel engines with the option of either six-speed SKYACTIV-MT manual or SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmissions.
Award-winning style
The Mazda6’s award-winning KODO: Soul of Motion design is heightened in the Sport Nav model with the inclusion of a sophisticated three-dimensional grille with signature wing, flanked by piercing LED headlights. Together with the LED tail lights, they imbue the Mazda6 with a strikingly distinctive face and an unmistakable nocturnal signature.
SKYACTIV engines
The Mazda6’s range of high-efficiency SKYACTIV powertrains includes two petrol engines and two diesels paired to six-speed automatic or manual transmissions. SKYACTIV-G petrol engines include the 2.0-litre 145ps and the 2.0-litre 165ps both producing 210Nm at 4,000rpm. SKYACTIV-D diesel engines include the 2.2-litre 150ps producing 380Nm at 1,800rpm to 2,600rpm and the 2.2-litre 175ps producing 420Nm at 2,000rpm.
Greater refinement
Upgrades to the Mazda6 saw the introduction of improved door seals, tighter tolerances between panels, plus extra sound deadening materials in the underbody, rear console, headliner and doors. The introduction of laminated front side windows further suppress wind noise, all of which ensure the Mazda6 has evolved to be ever more refined and comfortable.
i-ELOOP technology
All diesel models and 165ps petrol models in the Mazda6 line-up are equipped with Mazda’s innovative i-ELOOP technology. Short for intelligent energy loop, this proprietary capacitor-based brake energy regeneration system uses a fast-charging double-layer electric capacitor to maximise the amount of energy it can convert to electricity, fully charging in less than 10 seconds.
Exceptional aerodynamics
The Mazda6 is as sleek and aerodynamic as it looks, with the Saloon and Tourer posting drag coefficients of 0.26 and 0.28, respectively. The wing mirrors - mounted on the door shoulders – play a key role in achieving the car’s aerodynamic performance.
Economy and emissions
Working together with the innovative ‘i-stop’ idle-stop system, i-ELOOP positions the Mazda6 as the benchmark for fuel economy and CO₂, emissions, with combined fuel economy as high as 68.9mpg and CO₂ emissions as low as 107g/km, without any sacrifice in performance.
