Wheels and colours

The Mazda CX-3 is available in eight colours including premium Soul Red Crystal Metallic paint, which thanks to Mazda’s unique three-layer TAKUMINURI painting technology increases brightness by approximately 20 per cent and depth by 50 per cent, compared to previous Soul Red Metallic paint. SE Nav+ and SE-L Nav+ cars have 16-inch alloy wheels, while the range topping Sport Nav+ features 18-inch Silver alloy wheel as standard.

Styling

The Mazda CX-3 features black side garnishes that emphasise the flowing shapes of the body, and along with the black wheel arch mouldings, contrast with the body colour to give an SUV look. On Sport Nav+ models revised chrome accents on the side sill and front bumper deliver an even more upmarket look that heightens the impression of movement and quality. Across the range, darker side pillar treatment enhances the sweeping coupe-like profile of this sporty small SUV, while the new grille design distinguishes the updated 2018 model.

Equipment

Across the range the Mazda CX-3 is equipped with heated, power-folding door mirrors, coming home/leaving home lights, body coloured handles and a rear roof spoiler. SE-L Nav+ models feature front LED fog lights and rear privacy glass, while the range-topping Sport Nav+ is marked out by LED headlights, plus rear signature lights, 18-inch Silver alloy wheels and a reversing camera.

Design

The rear number plate of the Mazda CX-3 is positioned in a recess at the top of the bumper. By avoiding the typical on tailgate or lower bumper position for the plate, Mazda has been able to give the rear hatch a stylish three-dimensional look that emphasizes the short rear overhang. The difference in surface level between the bumper and tailgate allows the push-button boot release to be concealed, yet with no more than a 2mm gap between bumper and tailgate, the CX-3’s rear-end has a clean, shapely and unified look.

Access

To ensure easy access to rear seats of the Mazda CX-3, the bottom of the rear door overlaps the side sill garnish, as a protruding garnish would hinder access. At the bottom of the rear doors an obliquely cut-away edge allows the door to be opened wider in places where space is tight like small car parking bays.
